Empire Deck Strategy

Bolaar Pirates

The Bolaar ability to use adapted technology can be a tremendous asset. I find the various Corporate shroud devices to be especially effective. Using Treglean ships as a minor empire with a T6 Planet - Treglean Outpost in play fits in well with the adapted technology scheme. The new Vinciennes Tribe also works well for this.

Key cards:

• A7 Bolaar Negotiator steal 1 card or card draw from an opponent
• C4 Buccaneer phasers cause 1 additional point of damage per volley
• C4 Pirate Captain 2 less damage per volley
• C10 Legendary Pirate Captain
• E6 Deflection/Transfer Device shift damage to another ship in play
• E8 Bolaar Phaser Capacitors fire phasers twice per turn
• L4 Skeleton Crew may save crew when ship is discarded
• T5 Pirate System lets you engage one ship without resource points
• T6 Planet - Bolaar II Bolaar ships may move against terrain to steal allocation cost

Use this combo to place a ship into play just before your turn begins, allowing you engage the ship on your turn.
